On Tuesday, we launched Djgna, the first Eritrean social media platform in the world. Our mission is to provide as much value as we can to the lives of every Eritrean, both to those in the country and to those in the diaspora. Djgna is made by Eritreans for Eritreans. We have spent a lot of time and effort developing the site and are now very excited to welcome you all. Some things that set Djgna apart from other social media platforms:

• No ads (and there never will be)

• Chronological timeline, which ONLY shows you the posts that you and your friends have made. You don’t have to worry about being spammed with “algorithmic content catered to you” or with sales pitches to buy a product that you randomly stumbled upon on Amazon one afternoon

• Notifications are only for when someone posts on your profile or comments on one of your posts (absolutely zero spam, so you don’t have to worry about getting random notifications that you don’t care about)

• No like button (causes more harm than good)

• Ability to add a "profile song", which will play whenever someone visits your profile

• A development team that actively listens to feedback from its users and works hard to ensure that the site is stable and fun to use.

• We don’t track you and we don’t sell your information to ANYONE
