I just read that the new PM needs "scientific verification” that human activities were causing global warming, and that he also “thinks that’s the case to some extent.” This denialism puts the country on par with Australia regarding this issue.
Conservatives visit yasukini every year. As I assume most of you know, this is where war criminals are honored. Not only those who started WW2 but also those who experimented with Chinese slaves in the country, organized the Nanjing massacre and created brothels in Korea to rape Korean women (so called comfort women). This would be unthinkable in, say, Germany
