So my reading circle is preparing a necessary reads list, the focus is mostly political. I don't want it to end up mostly White European men from 100-200 years ago. Books, articles, even speeches are welcome.
So far what I got in mind so far is
Kwame ture's "Africa must unite" and "neo-colonialism, the highest stage of Imperialism"
Ngũgĩ wa Thiong'o "Decolonising the Mind"
Frantz Fanon's "Wretched of the earth".
I want to read some Samir Amin but I don't know where to start and I worry his books would be too inaccessible since his articles aren't so easy. Also no women writers come to mind and it's certainly a perspective I want to see more of.
Any recommendation is immensely appreciated!
In the 6 years that I have been on reddit (although I have only been really active the last year) I have not met anyone, not a single person who is originally from my country (Equatorial Guinea), so are any of you from here?

Our experiences is quite unique form the majority of the LGBT community active on reddit. I've made a sub to hopefully curve out a space for us to shar our experiences and relate to others on the continent.
