Hey guys, I want to study computer science, I'm looking at my options, and the only online degrees available in computer science are either from Charles Sturt uni, university of new england, Edith Cowan University and Deakin University. The Deakin university has a compulsory work placement, which is probably turning me off from taking it, but anyway, out of these 4 which one would you guys suggest? I've looked at all the subjects from each universities, the subjects from Charles Sturt really stood out to me, they seem to be really interesting. But someone mentioned that their classes lack algorithms class, which is apparently essential in computer science. I'm completely useless when it comes to knowing what are the right subjects, can you guys please give me a recommendation, and tell me your reason why. And how important is accreditation from the Australian Computer Society?
Thanks
Next year, I'll be 17 turning 18 in May. Currently living with parents.
Next year I plan on moving out, as I hope to be studying biomed in Monash and would like to experience a more.. independent and free lifestyle.
Problem is, currently I have no source of income. And From the looks of it, I won't have time for a part time when studying, as (from what I've been told) biomed is an extremely time consuming course.
Would I have enough for rent, food as well as gas money if I plan on moving out. Assuming rent is ~$250 (some $200 if I'm lucky) a week in the Monash area. (I could live further away for bit less, but that would mean more gas money)
From the looks of it. I will not be able to afford living on youth and rent assistance alone.
Any similar experiences or suggestions to my situation?
