All those 1500 dead protesters are forgotten.

10s of thousands in prison, forgotten.

So many normal people that generally weren't a fan of the regime mourned the death of Soleimani. Now suddenly they love the regime.

Btw Khamenei mentioned this too in his speech today. He brought up the protests and said it was enemy's plan.

Oh and lets not forget, so many liberals in the west now believe that soleimani was a hero. They hate trump so much that it makes them believe the iranian regime was the good guy here.

During the 1999 student revolt in Tehran, Soleimani was one of the IRGC officers who signed a letter to President Mohammad Khatami. The letter stated that if Khatami did not crush the student rebellion the military would, and might also launch a coup against Khatami.

Trump actually gets his way?

Trump has made no secret that he wants to get the U.S. out of the endless wars of the middle east. You may recall in November, he orders U.S. troops out of Syria. He was criticized for "abandoning the Kurds", supposedly to some mass extermination by the Turks. So far the Turks are playing nice (at least it hasn't been in the news), and no one is talking about it anymore.

But what about the assassination of the Iranian general, and the subsequent vote by the Iraqi parliament to expel foreign troops, including the U.S.? Is Trump getting his way again because of this?
