Looking to buy first home in the country. Advice?

I'm looking to buy my first property in the country.
Advertised at $273,000 4Bed 1bath 0.4ha (4000m²) https://www.realestate.com.au/property-house-wa-yabberup-131058462
I earn around $76,000 a year before tax
My credit score is pretty bad as about 3 years ago I was unemployed and stupid (didn't pay some debt) I'm back on track now pushing my credit up but I have one default (that is paid)
Any advice? I would love to buy this property to live in as a first home

Golden Key International Honour Society

Got a letter inviting me to join the Golden Key International Honour Society for "academic achievement", for which a $100 fee is required to join. Did a bit of research and while it doesn't seem like its a scam necessarily, it does seem a bit dodgy and kind of pointless.
Any anecdotes or information about it would be nice.

When did Optus hike their prices?

I am currently 12 or so months through a plan with optus paying 75 a month for s9+ and 10 gb of data. Just had a look on their website and currently the cheapest you can get a s9+ is 90 dollars and it only comes with 4gb. Did something happen with them I'm not aware of? Feel like I'm missing something here.
