This place was clean and organised long before recent feeble attempts to clean up and organize other cities in the country. Despite bringing some of the highest income to the country, Amhara cities cope with intentional budget deficits and diversion of investments and yet it's still the most beautiful city and interms if attractions, organised urban planning and cleanliness. Used to be a bike heaven in the old days when I visited as a kid.
