Hey r/australia, I was wondering if anyone could help me out with tracking down an out of print book?
My parents are undertaking the Heysen Trail which is a walking trail in South Australia. The Department for Environment and Water (actually DEWNR before the name change) used to publish two guidebooks for the hike which were really good, but stopped in 2014 to switch to a series of eight pamphlets.
My parents have a copy of the southern guidebook (Cape Jervis to Spalding) but were disappointed to find that the books are now out of print. I'm trying to hunt down a copy of the northern guidebook (Spalding to Parachilna Gorge) for them to complete the set. I've searched google and ebay and bookstores but come up short, so I thought I'd try put the word out here!
If anyone had a line on one or was willing to part with theirs that would be incredible.
Hi all!
I have a flight with Virgin Australia in a couple days and had a question about the maximum baggage allowance for check-in lugggage that I couldn’t find anywhere on their website.
I have 2 check in bags booked. One of them is over the 23kg limit (it’s ~25kg). If the other one is only 18kg (so the average of the 2 suitcases is still under 23kg) will I still have to pay overweight baggage fees for the one that is over 23kg?
I’ve flown with Jetstar before and they were pretty flexible on this as long as the total limit wasn’t exceeded. Does anyone know if Virgin is the same?
TLDR: Does Virgin Australia allow for an overweight check-in luggage to be balanced out by my underweight check-in luggage, without paying extra fees?
Hello everyone, I'm looking into doing a gap year in the adf after year 12 (so for 2023) and was wondering how peoples experiances / thoughts on theae gap years were? Are they worth it or does the ADF just manipulate you during your time? TIA
