My Prius will soon need new tyres. So far, the tyres that the Toyota service centre has supplied (probably for price reasons) have always struggled to gain traction on acceleration in wet weather. I've looked through online Prius forums and found lots of recommendations for good-grip models in North America, but I haven't found these models in searches of the Australian market (likely because North Americans face different conditions from those here).

What brands and models have Australian drivers found to work well here in wet weather?
