Hi, I have just purchased and moved into an established house. (Victoria). The house was renovated immediately prior to the sale, when we brought it. (House is entirely built on stumps) where the renovation meets the existing structure there is a noticeable lip in the floor under the carpet. Is that something you can claim against builders warranty, and how do you go about it? Should I get a 3rd party tradesman in to look at it and quote repairs first and then go to the insurance company?
