3 months of issues with Westpac.
I signed up online 2/2/21, I later took ID into my local branch who showed me the screen saying everything was good and okay! However, when I later setup cardless cash on the Friday (called bank to setup MFA to generate codes as branch can't) I was then locked out of mobile banking as a fraud block was put on my account.
I called the bank, they stated they couldn't help as the account said "Refer to branch". Weekends there isn't a Westpac branch open at all. So Monday I went in and they told me everything's fine from there end and to call back. I did whilst there, and they kept pointing the finger at eachother.
Went back the next day, same result. Called later that night and they stated I wasn't verified with my ID, so I went back the next day, same result again...
Day after that, I asked for a manager (Karen move, I know) who took my ID and asked for some time with me, I explained what was happening and he started laughing, so I left back to work and logged a case to AFCA.
Now AFCA had someone from Westpac contact me who stated the following. "I believe the status of your accounts may have changed since lodging your complaint. Can you confirm if you now have access to your accounts?" It seemed they had hoped I would've resolved it, but anyway I cooperated and ran through everything again, they said it should be fine now.
I didn't feel they did anything and when they asked me if they could resolve the case by 6/4/21, I declined and said I do not believe things were fixed and asked what they had done? No reply. On the 6/4/21 I called and left voicemails but no reply or answer as my cardless cash still wasn't working but I wasn't getting locked out of my banking app which was different.
13/4/21 my card was eaten by an ATM, I contacted the person from Westpac straight away, emailed them all the info about the new issue within an hour or so as I was out.
Westpac replied on the 26/4/21 stating they located an issue with the card. I replied almost instantly asking for a new card and they didn't reply.
