My partners 2013 Sportage catastophically siezed its engine (bottom end) with less than 100k km on the clock. They've been subject to several recalls in the US but no action in Australia since Kia claim it was only units manufactured in the US. However, I've since heard of several other people having the same problem. There's little warning other than an oil light, knocking and then seconds later a completely siezed engine despite the fact that there's adequate oil available.

Anyone else?
