Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan seemed to be using the situation to his advantage and exploring ways to amp up his country’s weapons sale. Like what Erdogan did to previous disputes between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the escalation in Libya and the escalation in Kashmir between India and Pakistan, he pressed that he supported Ukraine’s territorial integrity and along with that made a sly proposal for increasing cooperation between the Turkish and Ukrainian defense industries.
Many observers mocked at Erdogan’s handling of the issue, to grab military sales for its mediocre weapons and many fear that increasing tensions between Russia and Ukraine could lead to full-blown war
