I need to get a national police certificate from australia, the document should say "complete disclosure". However, when I applied online and received the certificate it says "standard disclosure". I need the national police certificate for visa purposes. I don't live in australia but I stayed in australia for over a year which is why i need the police clearance certificate ( the complete disclosure one) how can I specify the police that i need the complete disclosure certificate? It has been the second time they gave me the wrong certificate and has left me very frustrated, I can't even find an email to contact the australian police. Any help would be much appreciated.
This thread is more a question for fellow Americans who have made the move to Australia! I was born in America and was raised in Australia. I have dual citizenship in both countries. I moved back to America 6 years ago at the age of 18, and now am moving back to Australia at 24. Since I'm new to moving to a different country as "an adult", what things should I know about to be ready for the move? I'm talking about things like... should I let the DMV or something know, do I cancel all my open credit cards, close bank accounts, do I have to let IRS know I won't be in the country any longer or anything of the sort... I really am a little clueless and want to make sure I have all my bases covered :) any help is appreciated!
Anyone tried to use their virgin - webjet flight credit ? I know of 3 other people who have experienced similar to the below.
We (our family) have almost $2k in flight credit - carry over from a cancelled family holiday last year.
On 10 March this year - I booked 2 flights, for my young daughter and I to fly from Hobart to Melbourne return using webjet - as demanded by virgin.(if you used webjet to book initially, you must use your agent to continue).
I also booked myself from Hobart to Canberra the week after - return.
On the virgin website - as per seat allocation- the flights were only 50% sold.
I then tried to use flight credit to pay for the flights to then be told via email that the flights would need to be scrutinised before confirming.
A week went by, I contacted webjet asking what is occurring with flights - as I need to book accomodation, only to be told - they look ok, go ahead and book accomodation, which I did. (Have this detail in a snapshot of chat with webjet).
Today I receive 2 emails advising all four flights are cancelled because virgin only allocate 2-4 seats per flight that can be used for flight credits, and those 2-4 seats have already been allocated - but, I can pay cash for seats on the same flight...
Ummm - I have flight credit to $2,000, there are heaps of seats available on the flights, but I’ve got to pay $$$ because my flight credit is no good...
If virgin got bailed out on the provision that they honour previously paid for flights then this is taking the piss...
