Does anyone have any experience with this? I'd really appreciate any stories/information you have about dealing with the RMRC.
I'm currently in a really tough situation. I recently got a new visa issued in my passport from the USA consulate, and had it shipped back to me in a self-addressed envelope. Unfortunately, I put the wrong address on the envelope so it's being routed to the RMRC. It's been 2 weeks so far, and I'm still waiting (From AusPost, I've been told it's 3-4 weeks usually). They assure me it's almost certainly not lost, and will just take time to be sorted and forwarded to me.
I'm trying to make a decision about whether or not to wait for it to show up, or start my visa process again with a new passport (3-6 weeks). My pregnant wife is waiting for me overseas, so this is a really difficult juggling act.
