Channel 9’s coverage sucks balls. Yesterday all they showed were the matches featuring Australians - it’s great to be patriotic and support our own, but honestly, I don’t give a fuck about someone I’ve never heard of who is ranked 132 in the world. Show me a match featuring someone in the top 10.
Channel 7 did it better. They had 40 years to perfect their coverage, and I think they did a good job. This is Channel 9’s second year screening the Open, and it’s clear they haven’t learned from the feedback they got from viewers last year - coverage is just as shitty.
I did enjoy watching Frances Tifoe take a set from that wanker Djokovic, though. And I really cheered when some unknown player give the boot to that jerk Warinka.
