I've tried the setup process numerous times and I can connect my phone to the orbi network but it cannot connect to internet. I got the pppoe credentials from my isp and entered them in the advanced settings and nada. I know the nbn and cable are fine because when I got sick of trying to set it up I just unplugged the ethernet cable from the orbi, stuck it back in the iprimus huawei router, connected to that wifi network instead and internet straight away.
It also works (with internet) if I daisy chain the orbi off the huawei but I wanted to remove the huawei and just have nbn box to orbi. The JB HIFI guy told me I could definitely do this but I'm not having any luck and am ready to return the bloody thing. They're closed at the moment due to lockdown so I thought I'd try here in the mean time, maybe one of you folks have a similar setup?
I've looked around for others having issues but a lot of the issues/solutions are US based and I'm wondering if my issue is NBN specific.
