**Title should read Asian Australians
When I mean by think of, I know there isn’t much to think of but what I mean is are they relevant in Asia being so close, do you know about their culture?
I am actually not Australian so this question is weird, but I am half Chinese American and I met a half Chinese Australian who was born to American parents in Europe and raised Australian at a college years ago. Asian Australians are very common altho I have met few Australians.
So with Australia being below Asia, and Asia I know is broad, what do Asians ie Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Vietnamese, and even Indian and Arab, think of their Australian counterparts? New Zealand counts too. Australia and Nz are like 10-15% Asian compared to US’ 5%, Chinese in AU is like 5-6% compared to US’ tiny 1-1.5%. Australia has a pop. 10x+ more smaller tho.
Personally I think of them as just Australians, with thick accents similar to English and southern US mixed together. Asian Australian is a unique blend.
