Central camping spots on the south coast

Hey,

Wanting to do a bit of a trip to the South Coast after Christmas. We want to camp and possibly set up somewhere as a base for the week then just do day trips out and about. Does anyone have some good campsite recommendations that would work well for this?

National parks, caravan parks whatever is available. Electricity would be great but not 100% necessary.

We’d like to visit some of the inland waterfalls, check out Jervis Bay and look around Kiama etc

What's the biggest shithole you've seen/been to

I'd say Broken Hill is up there now because the mining is gone out there. Mildura is becoming shit aswell. If we are talking suburbs I'd say Frankston in Melbourne is really shit.

Doing the yearly Canberran pilgrimage to Batemans Bay, the Clyde just doesn’t feel the same

The fire season fucked it, and it’s depressing and saddening and looks like a cartoon characters head when they’ve been set on fire for comedic effect. Wish it weren’t so, but it is, nothing has had time to recover before this season it’s all fucked. Makes you think of all of the mates fighting against that shit, their bravery and all that. I miss getting car sick cause of the turns, not the mellow feeling I have now because I’m looking at desolation incarnate.

Make sure all your fire safety plans are up to date.
