Lots of talk currently about whether or not we should have a traditional NYE this year given the requirement to socially distance and also perceived frivolous expense while so many people are in hardship. 2020 has been a really rough year so what if instead we all spend NYE (during daylight hours) picking up rubbish at an area of our choice? I know that sounds pretty boring but think about it, it is a day outside with friends and family, can be fully socially distanced and the best part is that we are helping to leave 2020 in a better place than it started. There are plenty of parklands, bushlands and national parks that could really benefit from this. It would feel nice to end a year like this year doing something like that. Obviously a few beers at the end of the day would be in order.
