Warning, this is a rant.
Now don’t get me wrong, I know there are a bunch of amazing Australian films and I myself have seen quite a few, but what gives?
We seem to never support our own films like we do international ones (still confused as to why you can’t buy Lake Mungo in the county it was made in), and there’s barely any real film acting jobs outside of student film or commercial work. I never hear of any new Australian films outside of the obvious tourism grab here’s- a -film -with -wide-shots-of-Australian-landmarks features we get every few years. I mean there’s a reason every Australian actor that even slightly makes it jets off to the states. And then when we do have a film, they just use the same actors as they always do. I understand that we are relatively smaller than other film industries, but how are we supposed to grow when that majority of our home grown films are showed in 20 theatres for a maximum of a week.
Felt emotion,might delete later

I know there used to be/is a newspaper but can’t remember the name. I know DCN but a lot of it seems to be opinion.
Is there also a way I can find out how many containers are coming in and out of ports in a given week without the Bloomberg? Can I do the same for ships and rail?

Commbank currently has a reward of $50 cash back when you spend $500 or more at JB Hi-Fi up to Sep 23rd.
If you're pre-ordering the Xbox Series S or X on Sep 22nd, maybe consider ordering through JB to save some dosh
EDIT: Only one step, just go into the Commbank app (you can probably do it on the desktop client too) and go to the "For you" tab, and select "Commbank rewards". You should see the JB offer in there, and you just click "activate".
