I don't want to come to a new place and behave from a point of privilege, condescension, ignorance, etc. I want to be mindful and kind and respectful, I want to act as a guest and not overstep boundaries. This question comes from the perspective of eventually wanting to leave America. I'm not asking in terms of present tense due to the all too obvious reasons. I'm 22 years old, I want to be educated, I want to be culturally aware, I want to understand. I don't like being part of a me vs. you situation, I want to be friends. I don't want to be like so many of the people from America.
