NBN won't investigate a fault until you gimp your connection to "stable" profile and have 5 dropouts in a 24 hour period

Am I being unreasonable here thinking that this is a huge copout? I've been having 3-4 disconnects every day on fibre to the node. But nothing can be done until i change to some sort of "increased noise" "stable" profile (read: slower) and i also get 5 dropouts over a 24 hr period.
Maybe this is because there just aren't enough resources to fix everyone who has less than 5 dropouts a day. That just means we have a terribly un-robust system.
NBN. Faster, Better, Cheaper. Pick none.
