I may be wrong since I haven't travelled everywhere in the world, but I've noticed that there is something seriously wrong with the way most drivers in this country handle being overtaken on highways.
If I'm overtaking someone who is driving slower than the speed limit, nine times out of ten they will speed up as I'm beside them preventing me from getting back into the left hand lane by forcing me to either brake or break the speed limit to get in front of them.
Also if I'm approaching a slow car in the left hand lane, there is usually a car sitting in the right hand lane behind me that will speed up in anticipation of me overtaking and prevent me from merging by driving right beside me forcing me to hit the brakes when we reach the slower car in front.
Most people in other places in the world are happy to let people pass without issue, but so many drivers here look at it as asking them a huge favour or an insult. It's a shitty attitude and it causes accidents. Just grow up and let others pass.
