Hello! I’m a student residing in Singapore and i’ll be taking part in this years SMUN (Singapore Model UN) and i’ve been assigned the country of Slovakia.
This years topic is on “reviewing the right to digital privacy” and though i have done some research (government pages etc) i would like to have some personal takes on how regular citizens view digital privacy laws in Slovakia and whether there has been cases of exploitation of such data.
Also, i’ve heard that the company ESET has been accused of lobbying, i sadly couldn’t find any sources on it (in english at least) so if anyone could offer some context i’ll be extremely grateful!
Thank you!
TLDR: what do you think of existing (or the lack thereof) data privacy laws in Slovakia? Has there been cases of data abuse/invasive surveillance (other than the coronavirus app)?
(I have originally posted this onto r/Slovakia but a user directed me to this subreddit as it might reach a bigger audience :D)

So I was a wild one a long time ago. I have (1) involuntary hospitalisation, and (2) misdemeanours (both alcohol related). But here I am— much better now and living life to my fullest. This living also has me planning a trip to Europe in 2022. But— will the prior mental hospital stay, and 2 misdemeanour criminal charges hurt my chances of getting an ETIAS travel authorisation? Any feedback helpful. Be kind!
