This is just from my experience, so please don't attack me.

In January, I bought an iPhone X from Dick Smith online that was apparently brand new. What I didn't know was that when Dick Smith shut down it's physical stores in 2016 that Kogan bought the company. Well only six months after I got the phone, the touchscreen completely stopped working. I took it into my local IT store and they asked me where I bought it. I told them and they proceeded to tell me about how I had been sold a dud and to not buy electronics from anything Kogan owns. Instead of brand new, the phone had been bought in America in 2018 and was second hand, rendering the warranty void. Had to pay $450 because there were a lot of other issues in the phone I hadn't come across yet.

Moral of the story; know where you're buying from.
