I wonder something. What Do you think about Turkey?

I'm from Turkey and I'm 16 and I wonder What do you think about us? Because I went to Italy a few years ago and when I talk to someone there people say. "Ooo Are you Italian or Spanish?" and I say "No I'm from Turkey" and They'd be very surprised.

Turks don't ride a camel or something or haven't got multiple wife. We living like Europe. We have a civilization...

But I think a lot of people in Europe thinks Turks are Arab or something. Am I right?
