Telstra shipment delay

I ordered the next gen iPhone SE from Telstra on the 24th of April and received an email telling me I'd get the tracking details when it's been shipped.
Havn't received anymore information since. Website says they are 'experiencing delivery delays on average of 10 days on some orders'. I don't know if this refers to before or after shipment.
Has anyone recently bought anything from Telstra and know what realistic timeframe I should be experiencing? I feel like I could be waiting weeks and weeks before it even gets picked up by the courier.
