Kakao Co., a giant Korean internet company, saw its sales increased 22.9% year over year to $708.4 million in Q1 2020, mainly because of the growth of the company’s mobile platforms such as Kakaotalk, Kakao Pay and Kakao Commerce.
Korean Air Lines Co., a Korean airline company, announced that it is set to resume 19 international routes in June, as there are signs that the new coronavirus pandemic has passed its peak.
South Korean shipbuilders’ orders plunged 71.3% year over year to 2.33 million CGT in Q1 2020, trailing China. China accounts for 61% of the global shipbuilding orders this year.
