Is anyone familiar with this website?: taxfilenumberaustralia.org
I'm unfamiliar with the process of obtaining a Tax File Number and recently applied for one via this website rather than the ATO (a foolish mistake, I know - I'm now aware the ATO provides a TFN for free).
I provided my details and paid a fee of $69. Having received notice of the pending fee in my bank account statement via my bank app, I noticed the location of the pending payment was Barcelona.
I locked my card and called my bank. I was informed by staff that this is not necessarily a scam - I was sent a receipt and verification email stating I will receive my TFN within 48 hours - I was told by my bank if I receive a TFN I should contact the ATO to confirm if it's legitimate and if not, to contact my bank again and inform them.
Just wondering if anyone has used the same website rather than the ATO and actually received a legitimate TFN or if this is indeed a scam site to illegitimately obtain personal/bank information.

In Melbourne ours was down to 0.45MPS last night with latency to sydney at 150ms! Granted it was peak time but thats just ridiculous. Anyone else getting massive slow downs?

I am seeing if there any interest in learning about Finance.
Topics will include:
  • Time Value of Money
  • Introduction to Discounted Cashflow (DCF)
  • Pricing risk
  • Modern Portfolio Theory
It would be a Jitsi meeting.

My internet is down and the modem is running on sim backup, but it’s only giving me 30gb before they cut it off. I was thinking about just buying a prepaid Aldi sim or something and using that. Anyone know if it’ll work?

Hi everyone,
Basically I'm looking for a Chromecast, but I'm not in any rush so I'm happy to wait for a sale. Does anyone know if there's a website that collates data from all/most Australian retails stores and compares their prices on certain items? Especially interested if it has a wishlist/email function.
I found Shopbot, but when I look at something like Chromecast Ultra it only compares David Jones and Bloomingdales? And it's cheaper on Harvey Norman.
Anyone have a better alternative?
