Switch console restock in australia

Hi i've asked around a few JB HIFI and EB games stores in my local area and the general consensus seems to be that there might be a restock in June, but it could be pushed back. I wanted to buy one for my birthday, so I can play multiplayer games with my siblings, but thays obviously out the window. Do you think it would be worth it to buy a switch lite for now just for myself for a few months and then once the stock for the console becomes more regular (maybe late this year), I sell the switch lite and get the console? Is there even enough demand for that? Also, if I do that, will I be able to transfer my progress in games from the lite to the console?

Anyone else waiting for a parcel with Auspost?

Got something for my girlfriend for her birthday 2 weeks ago to be expressed shipped up in time to surprise her, according to the tracking info it’s been sitting in Redbank Brisbane since the 17th of April. I understand the current situation and it’s fair play that it hasn’t arrived yet but is anyone else in the same situation?
