Me and my friends are thinking of travelling the west coast in May/June and are wondering what the key points of interest are, and things that we should definitely do in your guys opinion. Also if any of you have any tips on car hire, or whether it is better to buy one outright then sell it?

Any help would be much appreciated, please chime in.
