The largest music streaming service in the world, Spotify, is available in 79 countries worldwide and yet it is not available in any West African Nation (There are 16 countries in West Africa). There is a serious lack of options for music streaming services in West Africa, with Apple Music and Google Play Music being the only platforms that are widely available throughout the continent. As a result of this, most people have resulted to using VPNs just to be able to listen to music.
It will be great to have Spotify, with its extensive music library, readily available to music listeners from Senegal to Niger. Bringing Spotify to West Africa will also aid in eliminating the dominance of illegal downloads of music which is clearly a serious issue and a really big problem, especially in nations like Nigeria and Ghana.
The availability of Spotify will also go a long way to help West African based artists reap the benefits of their streams. I am an artist based in Ghana and the largest percentage of my audience resides in Ghana. It recently came to my attention that all my streams on Spotify from Ghana will never be acknowledged. Not even with the use of VPNs. So it is easy to picture the number of Artists throughout these countries, including big names like Afro B and WizKid, that have made their work available on Spotify but will never actually earn their total streaming revenue.
Spotify, as a company, can benefit greatly from establishing itself in the emerging markets of West Africa and there is no doubt that the people of West Africa are ready to embrace Spotify as their go-to source for listening to music. Please sign this petition to make this a reality!

Meet General Asaminew Tsige, the man who vowed to work for Amhara. He is reported to have desired that Amharas be able to utilize and benefit from their own resources and stand strong. I became acquainted with him for the first time from the video above. Apparently he was imprisoned sometime during the TPLF days. The video showed him speaking to Amhara after they picked hin and supported him to protect them after attacks on Amharas in Gonder through some Qimant issue or pretense. Evidence of IDs of caught or dead Tigrays show that there's more to the story than just a simple "conflict" as the government likes to pretend. This violence, which was warned before hand by some non Amhara activists who claim to be unaffiliated before about 15 days which the government ignored as it did with most others.
After being picked by the people and appointed Asaminew got to business. He tried to settle peace which was out of control for ADP.
He made a fair assessment and spoke honestly about the army's incidents that took place in Gonder where innocent children and women were shot dead while the day before, army left its weapons in Tplf controlled region after being upheld by Tplf hooligan stooges who were pictured holding weapons. The army coordinated a story about "bandits".
He began to recruit and train new security forces as the old regime affiliated ones failed to handle the situation and needed new trusted hands.
He began to recruit and train several hundred thousand of Ahmaras in to the security force when complaints from other non Amhara sides began to surface like in the video below. Why the worry ? when other regions have more or around the same number of forces?
ADP also made assessments generally deemed unfair by Amhara. Why a party that failed to control the situation and needed assessments itself would be making such assessments is unclear. A party largely despised by the people. This was also attempts to arrest certain popular Amharas who were previously associated with other opponent parties and spilled some beans.
On the other hand Dr. Ambachew, after recieveing his doctorate was recent appointed head of the Amhara region. Despite Amharas dislike of ADP, they were lenient to him as he seemed some what sensible as well as not being involved with what previously tarnished APD's image to a large extent.
