I'm currently in Niger, which is one of the poorest countries in the world and it isn't uncommon for me to see beggars on the street. When I see them, I have complicated feelings as I know just giving them money won't do anything in the long run but at the same time, I feel a lot of sympathy and wonder what I would feel like if I was in that situation with no money and in the scorching heat and being affected by bad poverty or a disability. So I was wondering, how do you feel when you see them? Is the solution simply that they need to just get jobs?
