I was just wondering about this because since I've been on Reddit I've been exposed to a lot more people with pro-IRI views than I previously thought existed. For example, a certain Iran-themed sub I probably don't need to name which is filled to brim with IRI shills... There are even people who claim to be atheists here on Reddit who support the IRI.
What's up with this? To what extent does this reflect the broader societal reality? Or is there are possibly a problem with fake accounts, bots, trolls, alts, etc.?

It’s Caspian, but I don’t consider it Caucasus. I still would consider Gilakis Iranian ethnically. Just how I would still consider places like Zanjan Iranian as well, even if it is in an Azeri region.

Note that this article does favor regime change.
This might strike a nerve from some Pahlavi fans on this reddit as well.
Were the Eastern European revolutions supported by exiled lobbying groups? No, they were the product of youth on the streets.
