I'm watching www.parliamentlive.tv and I can't believe what I'm hearing. Basically George Eustice is saying that violating the Lisbon Treaty AND the rights to vote and be voted into the EU Parliament is not an issue to resolve "the political crisis".

He's referring to those rights as "some clause in some treaty" which can be ignored "it it's only for 4 weeks".

As an EU citizen I'm shocked and concerned. We are talking about justifying violating human rights. See it for yourself here

I hope the EU commission sees past that and tell the UK to fuck right off. They can have their hard brexit and enjoy the freedom of having no bill of human rights (my understanding is they don't want to ratify it again once out of EU!), but please, leave our rule of law alone.
