So Groovin the Moo music festival Adelaide (Wayville) sold out and it has been quite difficult to get tickets
As usual with events like this I saw a lot of scammers on the Facebook events selling tickets - you could tell they were fake by the facebook profiles being pretty new, not having real photos, etc.
My girlfriend found one 'seller' however, that she thought was real, his facebook had the amount of friends/posts/history/likes you would expect and it goes back a few years
He also sounded legit getting the emails for the tickets from her, etc.
Of course though... as soon as the $130 for each of the 2 tickets so $260 total was sent - he completely stopped replying
The money was sent on an ING bank account to his Commonwealth bank account, and it was an 'Osko payment'
ING explained they cannot cancel the transfer because it is an Osko payment that goes through immediately and the only way to get the money returned is for ING to request through to Commonwealth and for the person to then decide to send the money back - which I anticipate is unlkely to happen
I have always seen scammers on events like this but never thought would be dumb enough to be a victim, does anyone have any experience or know if there is anyway to chase this up further?

Hi,
I'm landing in Brisbane tomorrow for my three month long Australian adventure!
I was wondering what the best place is to exchange NZD for AUD? I'm landing in Brisbane but I should be able to get to Townsville with the dollars I already have.
Also, what are the cheapest ways to travel with public transport? I'm making a trip from Brisbane to Cairns. Then from Cairns I fly to Melbourne and from there on I need to get back to Brisbane again, passing by Sydney.
I checked the Opal, Myky, Smart rider and Go cards for busses. Are there any others that work for the entire east coast instead?
Thanks!
