I find it extremely strange that this sub Reddit doesn’t use the EU flag.

If the British do end up leaving Europe are they joining somebody else? I can’t find any answers.

It doesn’t matter how diverse this sub is, English must be ENFORCED. So thank you!

Hey,
We had this discussion a few times with other people from my university (men and women) and I wanted to ask YOU, why we are still so bad and why we don't talk enough about the whole discrimination thing:
Just a few random key questions for brain storming:
- Why are the female-only fitness clubs or female-only parking places but male-only don't exist because that would be "sexist"?
- Why are there female quotas in jobs where the majority of employees are male, but there are no male quote in jobs where the majority is female? (See Germany where "die Frauenquote" is even discussed in politics)?
- Why is nobody talking about male that don't get a job or earn LESS than their female counterparts in media but we hear every day with studies and results about the other way around?
- Why are men in most (all?) countries still discriminated when it comes to things like children or law ? There are TONS of cases where a woman takes the "children with her" and it seems that the society seems no problem in it, even though the woman could be a horrible or even aggressive mother?!
I'm 24 years old and I grew up in a society where everyone seems to have almost equal chances. Obviously you heard here and there some stories, like children from rich families having it easier etc. but the increasing problem that I see with gender discrimination is that the pattern looks exactly like with the race discrimination in the US: Basically women in many areas of the world had less right etc. and we all know that. Similar to that people in the U.S with dark skin had also problems in society. NOW we have a big "movement" coming in the US where it's basically "fight racism with racism", for example by doing "black people have priority" when looking for employees or courses where they "empower minorities" (while what it really does, is saying 'everyone can come in, except white people).
Maybe you already know where I'm going with this, but I am worried because I look in the media, in the society and it almost feels like what most of the people do today is trying to fight sexism with sexism.
Instead of giving everyone the SAME opportunity for a normal job, they FORCE x % to be female and discriminate against the others.
