Is couscous and ketchup a traditional Israeli dish?

My roommate (not from Israel) told me (also not from Israel) that couscous and ketchup is a traditional Israeli dish. I immediately called him out on it. Can someone from Israel please confirm whether or not this is a real traditional dish? Thank you.
