A huge storm expected to hit Melbourne's southeast on Friday
evening will bring large hail, heavy rain and up to 90km/h winds.
Lilydale, Cranbourne and Pakenham will bear the brunt of the
thunderstorm, which will bring up to 15mm of rain beginning around 5pm, Bureau
of Meteorology senior forecast Dean Stewart told The Herald Sun.
'The storm could bring fairly severe storms, heavy rainfall
and damaging winds,' he said.

Cranbourne and Pakenham will bear the brunt of the
thunderstorm, which will bring up to 15mm of rain beginning around 5pm
'The storm could bring fairly severe storms, heavy rainfall
and damaging winds,' meteorologists said
'It is likely to be some storm activity around Melbourne and
a change could come across.'
Mr Stewart said a high level of moisture from Western
Australia and South Australia will shift to Victoria, causing the storm
activity.
Bureau of Meteorology senior forecaster Michael Efron has
estimated some suburbs will receive 20 to 30mm of rain.

'This may cause flash flooding for affected areas,' Mr Efron
said.
The wild weather will cause the temperature to drop from 33C
to 21C by 8pm.
The cooler weather will persist throughout the weekend, with
Saturday and Sunday expected to reach just 21C.
Temperatures will climb again next peaking, peaking at 37C
on Thursday.
