This week, Congress will consider whether or not to continue a series of trade programs that help bring people out of poverty, create new opportunities for developing countries to grow, and help retrain American workers who have lost their jobs through no fault of their own.
While Congress hasn't moved to increase the federal minimum wage, many states, cities, and business owners have answered the President's call to raise their minimum wages. When it comes to raising the wage, the numbers speak for themselves.
On Monday evening, President Obama hosted an Iftar dinner celebrating the Muslim holy month of Ramadan at the White House. The Iftar is the evening meal after sunset that concludes the daily fasting during the month of Ramadan.
