Over the last couple of days we've had an electric car thread followed by a 'cycling instead of electric cars' thread.
What about vehicles like the Arcimoto - they are sort of a mix between the two? Here's a 5 minute video if you don't want to read!
Then you can commute to work, with a passenger and pick up a few bags of groceries on the way home.
In Australia, I think they're legally classed alongside motorbikes, so you need a motorbike license (different states may vary), which is probably one issue. Obviously there are some skills a motorcyclist has which are not relevant to a 3-wheel vehicle.
They are open like a bike, but they do come with a door option.
They are a bit expensive for what they are at the moment, but the are only building at a slow rate currently, their first mass production factory is in development. They plan to bring the price down from abot USD$18k to about USD$12k
Not shipping internationally yet, but when they do, no need to convert from LHD to RHD. :)
