I'm thinking of reskilling. There seems to be a lot of dodgy "free" courses out there. Okay I get it that some need to make money some how, and certification is rarely free. However some courses charge a fortune for certification.
So what are some GOOD (preferably Australian) free or low cost courses I can do to upskill? I'm interested in the ICT industry, cooking, writing, project management and office admin work.
Have you done an online course that you liked or worked for you? If so, please share the details. Any providers that are good? Any that we should be avoiding, and if so, why?
Singapore's HDB program allows citizens to buy flats for as little as 90k (https://www.singsaver.com.sg/blog/costs-of-bto-flat-resale-flat-ec-and-condo-in-singapore). They're modern, well built flats with low maintenance costs.
Similar style would cost 500k+ in most suburbs of Sydney (for prob lower quality).
We could implement this in Australia, even on a gradual, small scale basis. But then nobody would buy free market apartments anymore and there would be a glut which would lead to a banking crisis. We've fucked our selves.
Now if we want the 'dream' of home ownership, we must commit 20 years of wages to the project. Very sad.
If you had to generalize about USA, what would they be? Someone once told me “ Americans like to sue each other.” Are there others generalizations?
