Hello,
My father was in the US Army, 80th Infantry Division, in World War 2 and I have 2 photographs that were in his effects that I would like to identify. The first photo shows his unit standing on the steps of what appears to be a town plaza. The second photo is a street scene with possibly a train station in the background. I believe the photos were taken in mid to late 1945 in possibly Germany or Austria. I've included a map that shows the path of the 80th after it landed at Normandy till the end of the war.
I would greatly appreciate any help in determining where these photos were taken. Thanks in advance for giving of your time to help.
