Hi, my name is Nick and I am from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Over the years I have grown fascinated with Australia, and would love to apply for a subclass 417 in the year 2022. Before any of you ask, yes I did extensive research into it. I know about the high costs of living and rent, especially in the major cities. I am used to it living in pretty much the same cost of living here in Vancouver.
A little bit about myself, I am a 23 year old male. I work full time as an Assistant Warehouse Manager for a Scaffolding Company. My wage is only $24 CAD per hour and I have Scaffold experience. I have seen companies out in Melbourne hiring work visa holders for 4 to 6 dollars more AUD per hour.
However, here is the dilemma I am faced with. I have 1 charge on my Canadian Criminal Record.
Back in 2016, a few acquaintances of mine and I were on drugs and robbed a store. Long story straight we got sentenced with 12 months of jail, and 3 years of probation. However if on good behavior while incarcerated, I was able to be relased after 8 months on time served.
My question being is that I was looking into the Visa entry requirements and it says that if I was incarcerated for a period of 12 months of longer, if only serving 8 months of my 12 month conviction would void my visa?
Moreover, since the incident and jail, I have been clean off of drugs, and I still have a drink every now and again, but not as much as I was when I partied as a teenager. Upon leaving jail, I turned around my life during my 3 years of Probation. I got a full time job in Construction doing scaffolfing, working my way up from a labourer to a Assistant Warehouse Manager in under 3 years. I passed an anger management course. As well as I have my probation officer willing to stand up for me as he seen my improvement over the years.
Am I still able to get this visa? Sorry for my life story haha. Thanks!
I have 2 cars and 2 different car insurances.
I made a claim on one
Do I have to notify my other insurer that I made a claim on my other car on renewal?
For those who work in web development/ software engineering In curious if you have a good work/life balance?
I’m looking at buying my first car and have questions about how it all works.
Do you get a loan first and then buy the car?
I have a few cars in mind, but have not made a set decision yet. Do i need to decide before getting the loan? *They’re all the same price, give or take $500
What happens if i get the loan and end up buy a car say $5000 less than what I told the bank? (This one is just more my own curiosity)
If I apply for a loan am not accepted for the amount i want, do you get rejected just straight out or offered a secondary amount? If you are rejected does it hurt future applications in anyway?
