These new codes by the Aus govt seem crazy. Google provides free traffic, and now the newspapers want google to pay for the free service.
I love my free google traffic. I make hundreds of thousands from the traffic and I wouldn’t dare bite the hand that feeds me, and my family.
I see the argument that google should pay for the headlines. But the newspapers can insert a small piece of code that tells google not to display the content.
To me it seems like their business model can’t keep up.
