I'm exploring disability support work and I've been told that I'll need a police clearance from the last 12 months.
I'm also applying for other work that requires police clearances.
So I figured I would just get a general police clearance that I can give to any of my employers right?
Well some people say it's not that simple, and I shouldn't get one until the employer specifies which type.
Why can't I just apply for a police clearance and provide that to employers? As long as it's quite recent that should be enough shouldn't it?
So my family and I are getting our passports renewed as they have just expired and theirs worked just fine but when it came to mine, it said I needed verification from someone who has known me for 10 years or something like that?? Why has it just happened to me only and not the rest of my family?? Has this happened to any of you? I’m just confused.
Hi guys, hoping someone has some experience in this area. Unfortunately I lost my license by driving on my learner's without a qualified driver with me. I've got it back now and am about to upgrade to my P1's.
At the moment as I'm on my L's I'm not required to be listed on the insurance policy (with Bingle) so there's no issue there. But now that I'm going to be on my P's I need to be listed on the policy, and as the regular driver as it's my car.
Bingle doesn't offer cover to disqualified drivers so they're not an option, and the other quotes I've got have been around ~$2900/yr for a $9k car. This is all for comprehensive.
I'm thinking of just leaving myself off the policy and paying the unlisted driver excess if I need to claim. However for Bingle this would be $2000 + $600 age excess + $650 excess.
If anybody knows an insurer that's cheaper for disqualified drivers or will take into account I was just disqualified for no supervisor and not dangerous driving, or one that has a cheap unlisted excess that'd be great.
Cheers all
I'm trying to look for a good plan for my father.
He's in need of a new phone having used an old iphone for years.
His company offers to subsidies him about $25 per month for any plan. He doesn't need the newest Iphone or anything, just something that isn't bad and hopefully lasts since I have a feeling he'll be using it for a while, so I've been looking into Pixels and Samsung as well.
The simple requirements I've been searching around for are:
- International Talk and Text
- No more than 24 month plan
- 1gb Internet per Month (No need for a lot of data)
- Hopefully under $60 per month total with phone and plan (as cheap as possible)
If anyone knows of any company offering something like this I'd appreciate it a ton.
