Hey Team, just popping in asking if anyone could describe the lifestyle in Norfolk Island? Is it like a pacific island? Or is it much more fast paced? Can someone from the city live there?
If anyone even knows someone who lived there, would love to hear how they lived there.
I received an email from Jetstar today notifying me that my flight from Hobart to Cairns transiting via Brisbane has been cancelled. They're unable to move me to a new flight and will be reimbursing me with a Jetstar travel credit for the same amount, valid for 12 months. I won't receive this credit for at least two weeks. I just checked their website and my flights are all still available, but are now $600+, three times what I originally paid for the same route.
This is the exact wording: We’re sorry to let you know that your flight/s on booking XXXXXX have been cancelled and we are unable to accommodate you on an alternative service.
It's obviously incredibly unethical but is this kind of thing actually legal? I purchased a service from them for an agreed-upon price, and now (I imagine due to demand) they've broken that contract in the aim of getting more money. The flights are still happening, I just can't afford them now, particularly now I have to wait at least two weeks to get this 'travel credit' (and not even my money back to buy a flight with Qantas, which is bullshit).
Is this legal? What can I do? I haven't seen my family in almost a year and I'm getting desperate to go home.
Warning: On a state roast thread your state may, shockingly, get roasted. Try to remember that we're all Aussie, and taking the piss is what we do. Keep it civil.
Saw the idea on another subreddit, and thought it might be fun to do here. Every few days, a new thread will be posted targeting a specific state or territory to roast. Pretty self-explanatory.
Avoid roasting states other than the target state; no one is safe, they'll all get their turn eventually.
Try to be original and creative.
Also I guess I have to repeat not to be butthurt. The Victoria thread previously had a 27% upvote rate as if we weren't giving the exact same treatment to all the other states. This is all in good fun, and being upset at interstate roasting is un-Australian
I used to buy the cheapest milk way back when, but after the price wars and seeing some information on the lack of money going back to the farmers I started buying dairy farmers only.
Now after seeing some adds I feel that Norco may be the best brand to go with (for the farmers) but wanted to find out what brands other people drink and why.
I'm not worried about cost, I don't go through much. I just want to make sure whatever brand I'm buying is best for the farmers.
