I listened to Daniel Andrew's press conference today and I am still confused.
It seems like if you are working, whether from home or in-person and there is no one else to look after your little kids then you can send them to childcare.
I tried looking on the Victorian DHHS, justice, and education websites and I am still confused.
- Are you allowed to send kids to others to babysit, or only to an Early Childhood Centre?
- Are you allowed to go beyond 5 km to drop kids off and pick them up?
- Do you need a permit, just like workers need permits to travel more than 5 km or after curfew, or as long as you meet the criteria you can continue sending your kids to childcare?

HI there! If this question doesn't belong here, let me know and I'll happily remove it.
I have decided to go to university as an adult learner and made the decision that since I've got some savings at hand, I want to go to university outside of my own country (I'm a US citizen.) Upon doing some research I realized that, unless I'm missing something, it seems that all or nearly all universities in Australia charge outrageously high amounts in tuition costs and I am curious how you all feel about it and how you deal with it if you have a career goal that requires university?
At this point I have ruled Australia out as a possibility for myself (considering I'd have to pay international fees as well) but as I said I'm super curious your thoughts on this. Do you feel that your tuition costs are outrageous? How do you cope if you want to take a career path that requires you to get a degree from University? Do only the super wealthy of your country get to go to university? Does anyone who goes to university just end up in life long debt?
Additionally, if I have missed something and if I shouldn't rule Australia out, would you let me know? I can get a bachelors degree in the US for $10,000 USD per year or way less than that ($40,000 USD total or way less than that for the four year degree) which I think is 13,900-ish Australian dollars per year and 55,600 total Australian dollars for the four years of the degree. So I would only want to go to a university that at least had a similar price. If there's anywhere you know of please let me know. Thanks, friends and I'm sorry if it's true that your university is not affordable!
Edit: seems the big thing I missed was that it sounds like your government subsidizes a lot more tuition than I was aware of. I'm really glad to heat that as the prices listed online where I found were outrageous, even for national students not just international students. Thanks to everyone that has answered my question!

So I have a video interview on Friday, but I’m working at my current job.
Would anyone know if it’s inappropriate to conduct the interview in my car during my break? Would that be okay?
Thanks!
