CMV: Healthcare professionals on the front line should receive hazard pay, priority medical care for themselves and spouses/children, educational cost reimbursement, ability to negotiate pay for high performance/in-demand expertise beyond award rates, and formal recognition for their service.

Australian nurses and doctors didn't 'sign up' for this by virtue of choosing a career in healthcare. They are not martyrs. Access to proper PPE is not negotiable. Don't fool yourself into thinking that Baby grads/retirees/volunteers are the same thing as fully-fledged specialist doctors and nurses in current acute practice. Don't clap. Don't send pizza. Respect the work and demand that those who go above and beyond are appropriately recognised, remunerated, and physically protected.

Anyone else having NBN issues today?

29 March. I'm with TPG. Going by the support forums it looks like TPG customers all over the country have been having major slowdowns and disconnections today, regardless of the type (FTTN, FTTC, Fixed Wireless, etc). For a while my speed was under 1mbps. As far as I can see, upload speeds were completely unaffected.
Couldn't contact their support team by chat all day due to the number of support requests, some people said they'd had multiple calls to the help line simply drop out after a 1 hour wait without ever hearing a human voice.
It'd be great to know if any of you have also had issues, and whether you're with a different ISP or not. It'll help me figure out whether this is just how things are gonna be while everyone's working from home now, or if I should go with another provider.

What’s wrong with being Indian on daring apps?

Matched with so many girls on Tinder/Bumble etc. When I tell them that I am born Indian I get unmatched or don’t get any message from them! Why Australian girls why? :(

Why Australians find Indian accent funny?

So, I was in Woolworths and I was asking this lady about how to tell if a food product is vegetarian or not (In India, we have symbols on products if it is vegetarian or not).
She replied "Well, you have to take a good look on Ingredients, by the way, are you new here? I can listen to your singsongy accent whole day"
I mean Okay
And it is not my first encounter, Most People generally smile and some laugh midway when I am speaking.
Is it the choice of my words or my accent is just sing songy or both.
my accent is mostly like this dude doing standup
Ps. I am not pissed but I think it will backfire when I will confront bad people :(
